The Barron County Master Gardener Volunteers are offering two $150 grants for worthy community garden projects. Projects must be gardening related and located in Barron County. The applicant must be a non-profit group or organization.
Include the following information in the application. Name, address, contact person’s phone number, location of the group or organization, contact person’s phone number, email and description of the project and expected accomplishments. A $500.00 scholarship is also available for an eligible Barron County student interested in pursuing an education in Horticulture, Landscape Design or Turf Management. Interested students should obtain an application form from the Student Services Department at their high school. The school will then forward the application to the Barron County Extension Office. Deadline for the scholarship application is April 22, 2019.
