Registration for State Opportunities has moved online (this means that you no longer turn the paper version into the 4-H Office, and rather than my signature-I will get a notification you registered and approve it there)

Here is the info from the state office.

The WI 4-H Horse Association is trying to move state horse event entries to an online format. The State 4-H Hunt and Dressage Horse Show and Clinic entries are due June 1st. In the past, you may remember young people bringing their entries to the office for a signature by the county educator indicating that they are a member in good standing. The State Horse Association did not want to eliminate that step on the process. They hope by moving the entries online, it will make it easier for staff to approve that member in good standing for that county.

The entries are being completed using 4-H online. The ask is that you as the county educator go into 4-H online into the horse events (upcoming are Hunt and Dressage, later in summer will be Gymkhana and Expo) and approve the members in your county as eligible to participate and in good standing. This is the same as the approval you would have done with the paper version of the registration and will help move the entries along in the process. If there is a member that is not in good standing with your county and they have submitted an entry, as in the past, please connect with me and we will go through the next steps.

To Register

  1. Go to 4-H Online
  2. Sign into your family 4-H Account
  3. Click Events and look for the opportunity you would like to register for.
  4. Be sure to click all the way through until you choose the submit button.
