Interested in opportunities outside of Barron County, but can’t keep registrations and deadlines straight? We will try out best to keep this post updated.

The Barron County 4-H Leaders Association has funds to help support youth attending these experiences. Learn more about that under Event Funding on the 4-H Information Hub.

4-H Arts Camp, October 3-4 in Wisconsin Dells

Registration Deadline: August 15

4-H Arts Camp provides youth in grades 6-8 an opportunity to explore different types of art including theater, music, visual arts, dance, and photography while making new friends, developing skills, and enjoying new experiences.

You’ll rotate through the different arts tracks each day, participate in various group activities throughout, and close with a ceremony for parents and families, celebrating the results of your Arts Camp experiences. You’ll also meet new friends, participate in camp games, and enjoy the great natural setting of Upham Woods, a 300-acre environmental education center on the Wisconsin River near Wisconsin Dells.

National 4-H Dairy Conference – September 27-30 (REGISTRATION DEADLINE AUGUST 31)

You can now register for National Dairy Conference!

This event will take place from September 27-30, 2026 and is open to ages 15-18

National Dairy Conference will be held at the World Dairy Expo, taking place at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI

Fall Forum – 7th grade and older (and volunteers) – November 6-8,

Registration open September 1-September 15

Fall Forum is an opportunity for youth and adult leaders to attend the statewide training weekend with county and state staff. Planned by a team of youth and adult volunteers from the Wisconsin 4-H Leadership Ambassadors with the support of county and state staff; promote to youth and adult leaders in your county! Our hope is that 4-H youth and adult leaders will come together to connect, collaborate, celebrate, and continue building excitement and energy for a new year of 4-H learning.

4-H State Dog Agility Show – October 10th, 2026

Community Accelerator Track @ Ignite March 15-21

You can now register for the Community Accelerator Track at Ignite, taking place from March 15-21, 2027!

Very recently, we have been informed that the CWF track at Ignite has been completely filled. We will be sending Wisconsin 4-H youth interested in Civic Engagement and Youth Empowerment to the Community Accelerator track at Ignite instead. This is another great opportunity for youth to explore civic engagement! If you have any questions about this change, please contact pydadminteam@extension.wisc.edu.
