Aqua Dairy Show – June 24

The 2024 Barron County Aqua Dairy Show will be held on Monday, June 24, at the Barron County Fairgrounds in Rice Lake. The show will start promptly at 10 a.m. this year.

This is an open dairy show for area youth that will also include dairy showmanship classes of different ages at the conclusion. The Aqua Dairy Show is a great opportunity for youth who haven’t shown before to gain experience in the show ring and for experienced youth to get some time in the ring before the fair!

Pre-Registration is requested by June 17.  Registrations can be submitted online at https://go.wisc.edu/23526r. This will aid in starting the show on time.  For additional information or if you have questions, please contact the Extension office at 715-788-6240.

Entry information should include: name, age of exhibitor as of January 1, club or organization name, breed(s) exhibiting, and class designation. This will aid in starting the show on time. For example, if an exhibitor has a four-year-old cow, it would not be necessary to be there at the start time as long as the animal was pre registered. Registered and grade animals are shown together for this event.

Exhibitors are also reminded to bring a fork/shovel and wheelbarrow to clean up their bedding pack once the show is completed.

The public is encouraged to attend and there is no admission.

The Barron County Aqua Dairy Show is hosted by the Barron County Dairy Committee and Barron County 4-H and is sponsored by Synergy Cooperative, Compeer Financial Services, and the Barron County Dairy Youth Fund.
