Celebrate National 4-H Week

Show why Barron County 4-H is Great! Share 4-H in your local community during National 4-H Week in one of 2 ways!

  • Window Display
  • Other Creative Display (table top display, etc.)

The Barron County 4-H Association awards prizes yearly for top designs (1st Place: $75, 2nd Place: $50, Participation: $20.

2024 4-H Week Theme: Beyond Ready

**You can use this theme or any theme

Criteria: Promote 4-H in Barron County. By promoting 4-H, window displays may help recruit members or raise awareness within a community that 4-H members play an active role.  

  • Follows a theme (you can choose a theme or use the National 4-H Theme)
  • Window/Creative displays must be in place by noon on October 6th, and taken down by October 15th. 
  • Club/group name must be in display. 
  • Contact info must be displayed (you can use the office and county email 715-788-6219 and 4h@co.barron.wi.us).  Include any other appropriate contact information. 
  • Displays must say that it is National 4-H Week (October 6-12)

A photo (or multiple photos if needed to show all aspects) must be emailed to 4h@co.barron.wi.us 

mailed, or dropped at the Extension office by October 10th. These photos will be used for judging. Photos should be accompanied by a location address and description, so judges know exactly where the display is located. 

What is evaluated during judging? 

Location: Is the display in a high-traffic area where many people will see it? Rules: Does the display contain all the required information? (See rules above.) Theme: Does the display follow a theme? Visibility: is the display eye-catching and inviting to look at? 

4-H Promotion: Does the display promote 4-H by making it appealing to youth and families? Neatness: Is the display neat and not cluttered? Lettering: Are words on the display easy to read? 

Guidelines: Are all guidelines/criteria followed?
