Celebrate 4-H (Tuesday, October 8 – 6:00-7:00 PM via Zoom)–CLOVERBUDS Grades K-2: Let’s Celebrate 4-H during National 4-H Week and get to know other Cloverbuds from around our area through fun virtual games. We will share some exciting news about future Cloverbud programming!
Photography (Thursday, October 10th – 6:00 – 7:00 PM via Zoom)–Grades 3 and up: Come explore photography and learn what it takes to get a good picture no matter what you are using to take your pictures. After the zoom, participants will be invited to use their skills to take pictures and upload them to Goosechase where they will be able to see pictures from others and to get feedback emailed to them after Goosechase closes. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Best Photo, Best Photo runner-up, Best overall implementation of skills, and random drawing. The Zoom will be recorded if you cant attend live, you can still participate in the Goosechase!
Houseplants (Tuesday, October 15th – 6:00 – 7:00 PM via Zoom)– Grades 3 and up:Join us to grow your own Tradescantia Zebrina! This beautiful dark green and purple foliage indoor plant is easy to grow, loves sun and is a great addition to your room. Learn about plant care basics, how to transplant a shoot, soil, sunlight and water needs. Take your plant to the fair in the future! A lesson plan and supplies will be shared ahead of time.
Macrame Gnomes (Tuesday, October 22ndh 6:00 – 7:00 PM via Zoom) – Grades 3 and up: Join us for a fiber arts challenge! Have fun with Macarme’–no experience is necessary. learn basic macrame’ knots to then create a macrame’ gnome. futher resources that include additional knots and activities will be shared for those that want to grow their macrame’ skills. most gnome supplies will be provided. families will need to supply a glue gun, glue stick, and scissors. a lesson plan and supplies will be shared prior to the session.
Butter & Biscuits (Tuesday, October 29th-6:00-7:00PM via Zoom) – All Ages: Who doesn’t love butter on a warm biscuit? In this session, participants will learn how to make their own butter, and how to make many types of biscuits. Supplies for this session are NOT provided. Please be prepared to bake biscuits during this session. Adult supervision is highly encouraged. A letter and lesson plan will be shared before the session.
