2025 Barron County 4-H Cake Decorating Learning & Practice Day

Ready to take your cake decorating to the next level? This year, we’re going hands-on with fondant frosting—a fun and creative way to give your cakes a smooth finish and stunning details. You’ll learn how to:

• Create delicate roses, leaves, and simple flowers
• Add color and shimmer with fondant tinting and pearl dust
• Smooth cake surfaces like a pro
• Dry and prep decorations for picture-perfect results

This workshop is designed for youth in grades K–13. Whether you’re brand new or already have some cake skills, we’ll meet you where you’re at and help you grow.

Choose one session (all cover the same material):

• 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Limit: 8)
• 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM (Limit: 8)
• 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM (Limit: 8)

Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and make your payment (cash or check made out to Barron County 4-H) so we can begin on time.

To keep things clean and safe, tie back long hair and wear a short-sleeved shirt. Bring a container or box to carry your projects home and a water bottle if you’d like.
