Exciting News from Barron County 4-H

Dear Barron County 4-H, members, families and volunteers,

I’m excited to share that I have recently transitioned from my role as the Barron County 4-H Program Associate to become your new Barron County Associate 4-H Program Educator. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Barron County 4-H Program Educator Sara Waldron in a new capacity, to continue growing within this community, and to support the incredible work happening across our county.

As I step into this new position, I will continue to provide general support across a wide variety of 4-H programming, helping ensure that our members, volunteers, and families have the resources and guidance they need to thrive. Supporting the overall 4-H program remains an important part of my role, and I look forward to being more involved in many different projects and events throughout the year.

Another area I am excited to focus on is supporting our small animal projects, including cats, rabbits, poultry, cavies, dogs, and other areas where youth show interest. Over the past several months, I have had the opportunity to work closely with our emerging small animal project committee, and I am excited to use my experience to help support, strengthen, and expand these areas even further.

Thank you for welcoming me into this next chapter. I’m excited to continue working together to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for Barron County youth, and I look forward to connecting with many more of you at upcoming meetings, events, and project activities.

With appreciation,

Kelly Drake
Barron County Associate 4-H Program Educator
